Help The Widows
The cost of living in Zambia is far below the poverty level. Many work to make an average income of 2 Kwacha a week, which is the equvilant to 0.12 US cents. There are many elderly women who lost their husbands and have no means to make any income for themselves. They have children they have to take care of sometimes who are grown and struggling themselves. This is the case with this widow we met, who lost her nose to witchcraft at a young age and has been a widow for several years. She has been ostracized out of many communities because of her looks and was desperately needing help just to get bare necessities like lotion, soap and food. There are many widows we met and helped. We would like to have a fund where we can help the widows in this area start business to help their families. Will you join us?
